419,404. Building-blocks. McLAREN, R. W., McLAREN, G. J., and McLAREN, W., Belford Quarry, Belford, Northumberland. Oct. 7, 1933, No. 27690. [Class 87 (i).] Precast wall blocks are formed on one or more of the abutting vertical faces with a wide vertical mortar groove b closed at the lower end. Horizontal grooves d may be formed in the main groove b, and the block may also have open ended mortar grooves e. The top and bottom faces may have grooves f, or a continuous groove parallel to the four edges. Corner blocks have the grooves b, f in a side and end face. The blocks may be solid or apertured, and may be made of concrete or brick.
