Abstract

1,205,935. Building blocks. PRENTON BRICK & TILE CO. Ltd. 6 Feb., 1968 [7 Feb., 1967], No. 5782/67. Heading E1B. An apertured extruded clay building block 1 has thin wall portions 26 adjacent bores 12, 13, 22, 23 so that the wall may be broken away to allow the insertion of a wooden railing block or services. The railing block being held in place by shoulders 27 or posts engaging in dovetailed recesses 28. Internal webs may be broken away to form larger cavities. The bricks may be formed into panels before erection, and have grooves in their non-bonding faces for the attachment of plaster facing. The bores may be cylindrical. Brick can be easily broken at A, B, C to form “, ¢ and ¥ blocks.
