Abstract

411,617. Holders for reels of string. MYERS & SON, Ltd., M., MYERS, L., and JACOBS, E., 94, Charlotte Street, Birmingham. March 11, 1933, No. 7476. [Class 18.] In a holder for a reel of string of the kind comprising arms b, c, mounted on a base and provided with fixed or rotatable flanges k and spindles d which enter the central aperture in the reel, the arm b, or both arms, is slidable on the base and is acted on by a spring h so that the flanges press on the ends of the reel and frictionally oppose its rotation. The arm b is provided with lugs f which slide on a rod g, the spring h being positioned on the rod between a fixed lug and one of the lugs f. The string is led off under a loop n on the metal base. An ordinary cutter o is provided on the arm c.
