Abstract
393,383. Holders for spools of twine, thread, &c. EAST, F. H., 1, Marshall Street, and EAST, V. K., 12, Blackfriars Road, both in King's Lynn, Norfolk. March 4, 1932, No. 6621. [Class 18.] A spool-holder comprises a closed rectangular frame a formed of metal strip with openended slots b in its side members to receive the ends c of the spool spindle, and with an aperture h in its lower member through which the twine, thread, tape, wire or the like on the spool may be withdrawn, and a spring-controlled member d bearing on the surface of the spool maintaining the spindle in the slots. The holder may be suspended from a hook g or screwed to a wall or other surface, or a number of holders may be secured together in one framework. The member d may be a plate substantially the width of the spool mounted on a rod e and governed by a spring f. The sides of the member d may be out away to prevent contact with the sides of the spool when the device is used for a spool of tape. The member d governs the rotation of the spool and prevents over-running. More than one spring f may be employed.
