406,819. Covers for garment-hangers. SPIRA, L., 145, Chatsworth Road, Cricklewood, London. Nov. 16, 1932, No. 32407. [Class 52 (v).] A cover adapted to be placed over the upper part of a dress, coat, &c. when hung upon a coat hanger is made of flexible transparent material and has a single central vertical opening with overlapping edges 3 extending from the top to the lower edge for removing or replacing the cover on the garment without removing the hanger from its support. The back of the cover consists of a single sheet 1 of thin celluloid and the front of two half sheets 2 joined to the back along the upper and side edges 4 leaving an opening 5 at the top for the passage of the coat hanger hook. Fastening means for the front opening comprise a pair of press studs 6. Both the joined and free edges of the celluloid may be bound with tape.
