Abstract
405,646. Lifting-cradles. O'SULLIVAN, E., Hillview, Hilltop Road, Whyteleafe, Surrey. Aug. 3, 1932, No. 21759. [Class 78 (iv).] A cradle for handling tiles &c., comprises a base and upright ends, one end being readily detachable to permit of withdrawing the cradle from the stack. The base and one end may be built up from angles 1 and flat bars 2 with cross-members 10, 6, 7, there being an unobstructed space between the parts 1, 2 of the base to accommodate the legs A of a baseboard B for the stack. The detachable end may comprise angles 1<x>, flat bars 2<x> and crossmembers 10, 6x, and this end may be secured to the base by a bolt 3 passing through distance pieces 4. The two ends may be braced by a bar 8 with pins resting in holes in the members 10. The members 10 may be angles to facilitate stacking the cradles.
