[Class 132 (i).] Exercising or amusement apparatus comprises a car adapted to carry one or more passengers and to be propelled by an air screw driven by a hand-lever actuated by the passenger or passengers. As shown in Fig. 1, a car A is suspended from an arm B pivoted at C to a vertical support D to form a roundabout, the pivot C being preferably provided with ballbearings. As shown in Fig. 2 the car A is suspended from a trolley E running on a fixed guide rail H, and in Fig. 3 the car is mounted on floor wheels T so as to be free running. In the latter case steering means may be provided. The propelling mechanism, shown in Fig. 5, comprises two levers 1 having handles 11 and fixed to a shaft 2 carrying a toothed sector 3 meshing with a pinion 4 fixed to a shaft carrying a bevel wheel 5 meshing with two smaller bevel wheels 6, 6<1> rotated in opposite directions thereby and mounted on a common shaft 8 to which they are coupled by ratchet and pawl devices 7, 7<1>. The shaft 8 is connected by a coupling 9 to a shaft 10 carrying the air-screw 11.
