Abstract

398,401. Bolts ; dowels. HAUS, J., Uster, and HOLLIGER, R., Chur, both in Switzerland. Feb. 14, 1933, No. 4476. [Classes 89 (i) and 89 (ii).] A dowel or double-ended nail is formed with a pointed shank 1 and a head 2 having sharpened prongs 3 which are bevelled on the inner faces and engage a disc 5. When the nail is driven by a hollow punch S the prongs are deflected to anchor the head to the work B. In a modification the shank I is replaced by a threaded bolt.
