Abstract
398,143. Bottle stoppers. TAYLOR, C. H., West Summerland, British Columbia, Canada. June 19, 1933, No. 17376. Convention date, Aug. 12, 1932. [Classes 125 (i) and 125 (iii).] A stopper for use with bottles containing poison comprises a plug 5 having a head 6 provided with marginal notches in which are disposed wings 9, 10 on the lower ends of which are lugs 16, 17 and which are connected bv a helical compression spring 13 passing through a diametrical bore in the plug. When the stopper is in position the lugs 16, 17 engage recesses 18 in the bottle neck. To remove the stopper the wings are pressed inwardly at their centre parts, their ends 19 fulcrum against the uprising boss 7 and the lugs are disengaged from the recesses. A cap 20, secured by bayonet slots &c., may cover the stopper.
