Abstract

395,776. Hook fastenings; bolts. HARLEY, C. E., 121, Marlborough Road, Bowes Park, and RIPAULTS, Ltd., 1, King's Road, St. Pancras, both in London. Feb. 4, 1932, No. 3348. [Classes 44 and 89 (i).] In a motor-car bonnet or like fastening which consists of a slidable hook 3 having a screwed shank 4 to co-operate with a rotatable handle 2, a spring-pressed washer 6 is mounted on the hook shank and has projections which engage with notches in the end of the handle shank 1 to hold the latter against accidental movement. The hook shank 4 is flattened at 7 to prevent rotation of the washer 6. The invention is also shown applied to the form of fastening described in Specification 396,016. Specification 388,155 also is referred to.
