Abstract
394,659. Elevated railways. ROSCHER, E. K., 4, Lydiastrasse, Wandsbek, Hamburg, Germany. Dec. 18, 1931, No. 35134. Convention date, Dec. 22, 1930. [Class 104 (ii).] An elevated double-track railway comprises running rails 2 and guide rails 3 carried at the levels of the lower and upper booms 1, 4 of a horizontally continuous lattice girder frame 5 supported on standards. The girder may be triangular in cross section or double T shape, as shown in Fig. 3, or a double vertical cross. The rails may form a structural part of the girder, and the girder may be supported by cables anchored to standards, or may rest in places on an embankment.
