Abstract

515,825. Amusement apparatus. WILKIE, W. H. Feb. 21, 1939, No. 5789. [Class 132 (i)] In amusement apparatus comprising a rail track 6 and a passenger car 3 running thereon having roller and safety bar means which limit the transverse and vertical motion of the car with respect to the track, the safety bar structure is provided with a gap along the length of the track and is adapted to accommodate a shank portion 12 of a flanged roller carried by the car, the flange 13 coming beneath overhanging portions of the gapped structure. The latter is, formed of two bars 15 which extend along the length of the track. Two rollers may be secured to the car along the centre line thereof and these may be. mounted on transverse members 10 secured to the bottom of the car. As additional precaution one or more brackets 16, having projections 17 co-operating with the safety bars, may be secured to the car.
