Abstract

394,242. Helical springs. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MACHINEFABRIEK REINEVELD, 111, Haagweg, Delft, Holland. Dec. 6, 1932, No. 34587. Convention date, Sept. 6. [Class 108 (iii).] The external diameter of the support A of a helical spring D is approximately equal to the internal diameter of the spring, the support having a collar C over which the bottom convolution or convolutions of the spring can snap when the spring is simultaneously turned and pulled or pressed axially. The collar may have an oblique gap to facilitate the snapping action. The invention is applicable particularly for yieldingly mounting the ironing cloth of the roller B of an ironing machine wherein the roller rotates against a concave surface and has fixed on its periphery a large number of radially-directed helical springs the external ends of which act as a support for the ironing cloth stretched round the roller.
