Abstract

976,444. Bearings. A. F. MARTINEZ. April 5, 1963 [April 7, 1962], No. 13747/63. Heading F2A. [Also in Division D1] A spindle for a spinning frame has a housing 3 made from sheet-steel and has a radial bearing 4 and a footstop bearing 5 mounted thereon for guiding and supporting a spindleblade 1. The footstop bearing 5 is inserted in, and supported by, a sleeve 8, the latter being resiliently supported in a radial direction by a flat-steel spring 11 having successive zig-zag folds and forming an incomplete ring of approximately 300 degrees. The spring 11 is immersed in oil and has its outermost section urged against a shoulder 12 on the housing 3 by a spring-disc 13 which is abutted by a closurecap 14.
