Abstract

740,029. Spinning spindle bearings. ROCH, J. S. Feb. 12, 1954 [Feb. 14, 1953], No. 4261/54. Class 12 (1). A footstep bearing 1 for a spinning spindle 3 is suspended by means of a rim 5 from a seat 6 formed in a supporting casing 7. A helical spring 8 holds the bearing 1 in position, the spring being disposed between the rim 5 and a split ring 9 engaged in an annular groove in the wall of the casing 7. The supporting casing 7 is made of sheet metal and carries a roller bearing 4 at its upper end.
