Abstract

391,542. Plug couplings. ARNOLD, C. L. and M.K. ELECTRIC, Ltd., Wakefield Street, Edmonton, London. Jan. 7, 1932, No. 495. [Class 38 (i).] . The socket member of a plug-and-socket connector comprises a base portion A carrying members 18 for connection to the supply and detachable engagement with contacts 35 on the portion B which carries the sockets 39 shown as multiple sockets, fuses being inserted on the underside of the insulating carrier 29, between the sockets 39 and contacts 35. The members 18 comprise a block connected to the supply and forming, with spring 20, a socket for receiving the contacts 35 which consist of blade members carrying fuse clips 37. The other fuse clips 43 are carried by members 41 connected to the multiple socket 39. The members A, Bare formed with the usual separating partitions and have interengaging flanges 4, 21 so arranged that access to the blades 35 cannot be obtained until they are completely disconnected from the supply.
