386,975. Detachable pipe couplings. AIR-WAY ELECTRIC APPLIANCE CORPORATION, 2101, Auburn Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Riebel, F. and Dow, D. M. ; c/o Air- Way Electric Appliance Corporation, Auburn Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, U.S.A.) July 24, 1931, No. 26161/32. Convention date, May 20, 1931. Divided on 386,999. [Class 99 (i).] The outlet of a suction cleaner is provided with a conical groove 13 which receives the bevelled end portion 15 of a coupler conduit 14. The conduit 14 has a groove 24 which receives a spring-pressed ball 21 housed in a unit 20 which is secured to the wall 11 by a bracket 23. To secure the conduit 14 a thumbscrew 25 carried by a bracket 28 registers with the groove 24. The conduit 14 carries a tapered sleeve 16 which engages with the vacuum cleaner bag 17.
