Abstract
481,496. Coupling pipes to plates. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. Nov. 16, 1937, No. 31477. Convention date, Nov. 16, 1936. [Class 99 (i)] A sleeve 14 is freely rotatable in the end plate 13 of a vacuum cleaner, rotation of the sleeve effecting the coupling thereto of a hose pipe 11. The sleeve may be screw-threaded or have a bayonet connection for engagement with an extension of the hose. The sleeve may be held in position by a washer 17 which bears on a spring split ring 19. Packing 18 may be provided between the sleeve and the plate.
