Abstract

337,202. MacDonald, J. Nov. 4, 1929. Grant of Patent opposed. Vacuum cleaning-apparatus.-An attachment for vacuum-cleaning apparatus in which the fan &c. is driven from the floor wheels, enables objects such as chairs, stair carpets &c. to be cleaned. The mouth a of the suction hood is closed by a plate c secured thereto by a clamp f<1> and clamping screws f<3>. A tube b<1> is arranged on the plate c and a length of flexible tubing and nozzle is attached to the end of this tube. The vacuum is maintained by oscillating the cleaner to and fro. Wheels d are attached to the plate c to give the necessary clearance for the pipe b<1>. Specifications 29222/11 and 22903/14 are referred to.
