Abstract
384,178. Valve amplifying circuits- SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. May 2, 1932, No. 12624. Convention date, May 2, 1931. [Class 40 (v).] The gain in a high-frequency amplifier is automatically controlled by rectified locally generated auxiliary oscillations which are controlled by the received carrier frequency amplitude. The Figure shows a generator 3, the bias of which is controlled by the detector 2, supplying the grid bias to a high-frequency amplifier 1 through a rectifier 15. The arrangement avoids galvanic coupling between the anode circuit of the regulating stage and the grid circuit of the controlled stage and gives. an intermittent control on the principle of a Tirill regulator.
