Abstract

379,618. Brake linings. WILLOUGHBY L. 1., 24, Mayo Crescent, Bankfoot, and TAYLOR, R., 20, Dracup Road, Great Horton, both in Bradford, Yorkshire. Feb. 3, 1932, No. 3169. [Class 103 (i).] Brake shoe friction lining A is riveted to a steel back B, and is provided with apertures C for securing screws S which screw into the brake shoe, which is recessed to form a seating for the steel back. The steel back may be tempered and curved to the curve of the brake shoe. The screws S may be surrounded by a washer of soft iron level with the braking surface.
