373,960. Retaining lubricant in bearings. MATTHEWS, E. F., Elm Cottage, Watford Road, Wembley, Middlesex. Feb. 22, 1932, No. 5284. Convention date, Feb. 21, 1931. [Class 12 (i).] Escape of lubricant from axle bearings is prevented by rings 1, 2, parallel to one another and perpendicular to the axis of the axle and by a ring 3 inclined to the axis and positioned between the ring 1 and the bearing. The diameter of one or both rings 1, 2 is at least as great as that of the ring 3. The parts 1-3 may be made from steel plate.
