Abstract
371,123. Discharge apparatus. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. March 14, 1931, No. 7950. Convention date, March 25, 1930. [Class 39 (i).] Metal or graphite windows for the emission of X- or cathoderays are fixed to metal parts of discharge tubes by a binding agent of glass, enamel or like vitreous material fixed to the metal parts around the rim of the window. A nickel window 3 some hundredths of a mm. thick may be secured by glass 5 and a locking-piece 6 in a recess 4 in the wall 1. The glass is fused to the piece 6 and wall 1, which may both be of a chrome-iron alloy. If the glass is heated by a flame, a heat-insulating body is placed over the window.
