Abstract
368,833. Removable heels for boots &c. EAGIES, M., The Warwick, Pier Promenade, Douglas, Isle of Man. Dec. 12, 1930, No. 37463. [Class 17 (ii).] A detachable heel for boots &c. comprises a heel-shaped pad B of indiarubber having embedded therein a metal plate 5 carrying a number of headed studs h, h<1>, h<2>, which project beyond the pad B and which are adapted to be engaged in correspondingly arranged slots in an incorrodible metal plate 2 secured to the heel end A of the boot or shoe, and which are adapted to be locked therein by a plate 4 arranged to slide between the plate 2 and the shoe and having T-shaped slots in which the studs may be locked. In a modified form for detachable heels of leather, the studs have enlarged screw-threaded shanks which are secured into the detachable portion of the heel.
