Abstract
412,661. Boots &c. BENNET, W., 337, Armagh Street, Christchurch, New Zealand. Jan. 27, 1933, No. 2633. [Classes 17 (ii) and 17 (iii).] Detachable soles ; protectors.-Relates to detachable top-pieces or treads for the soles and heels of shoes, of the kind wherein a plate with lateral inwardly facing opposed channels 4 is attached to the shoe and a corresponding tapering tongue 5 is attached to the top piece, and consists in an arrangement wherein the dovetailing is effected by sliding the top piece in a forward direction. The tongue 5 is elongated, so that after the top piece has been positioned it may be bent upwards against the forward edge of the sole or heel. The tongue may have side members 5<a> for facilitating its secure attachment to the tread member.
