Abstract
359,305. Labelling-machines. UNIVERSELLE CIGARETTENMASCHINENFABRIK J. C. MœLLER & CO., 48, Zwickauerstrasse, Dresden, Germany. Dec. 24, 1930, No. 38894. Convention date, Jan. 10. [Class 73.] Sealing strips are applied to cigarette boxes by passing the boxes, right side uppermost, along a guide, the strip being affixed to the bottom of the box, as it passes, by a gripper which takes the strip from a pile and past an adhesive roller ; the ends of the strip are folded on to the ends of the box. The boxes are pushed along a guide 1 by pushers 4 on an endless band 3, and the strips S, separated from a pile by a pneumatic separator 12, are taken by grippers 5 on a rotary cylinder 6, gummed by a roller 8, and applied to the bottom of the box as it passes along the guide. The ends of the label are folded on to the ends of the box by brushes 20 between which the box is pushed vertically.
