Abstract
349,349. Road vehicle hoods. AUSTIN, SIR H., Lickey Grange, Bro msgrove, Worcestershire. June 28, 1930, No. 19671. [Class 108 (i).] In motor vehicles provided with a door in the rear and adapted for the vending of milk or other purposes the hood has its fabric detachably secured to the back of the vehicle and a hoopstick, which is usually vertical, is supported against forward movement when the fabric is detached from the back to give access to the rear door. The hood fabric G is detachably secured at the back by straps H to staples J and is supported by a main hoopstick f and hoopsticks K, i<l>. When access is desired to the rear door the straps H are loosened and the fabric folded forwardly and secured to the cover or hoopstick K while the hoopstick f<1> is folded against the main hoopstick f which is prevented from forward movement by brackets M having hooks m, the rear lights E being removed. The whole hood may be folded back as is usual.
