Abstract

345,441. Envelopes; picture mounts. DELGADO, F. G. and DELGADO, Ltd., G., 53, East Road, Hoxton, London. Feb. 21, 1930, No. 5871. [Classes 11 and 146 (ii).] In an envelope for exhibition and postal purposes, of the kind comprising a semi-rigid backing of cardboard, strawboard, &c., and a front cover of flexible transparent material secured thereto along three sides, the fourth side being left free and formed with an extension flap for closure purposes, reinforcing strips 17, 18 are provided. Such strips, which are doubled over and affixed at the corners to both sides of the envelope, may be transparent or opaque and may extend across the whole width of the envelope. The transparent cover, which is preferably formed of a transparent cellulosic film such as is known by the Registered Trade Mark of " Cellophane," is slightly larger than the backing sheet 10, and its three marginal edges 13, 14, 15 are bent over and attached to the opposite side of the sheet 10. Gum 19 may be applied to the rear of the backing for sealing the envelope, and addressing lines may be provided.
