Abstract

343,540. Pistons. LOGETTE, A. I. and DAINTON, E. H., 186, Walmer Road, Shepherd's Bush, London. Nov. 9, 1929, No. 34250. [Class 122 (i).] In an hydraulic lifting device in which an inner cylinder or ram 21 fits on a fixed pressure cylinder 7 open at its upper end the orifice is formed by a tubular bolt 18 screwed into a flanged sleeve or piston end 14 which in turn is screwed into the end of the cylinder 7, a pair of cup washers 16, 17 being provided, one located by a second piston end 15 secured to the bolt 18 by a set screw 15a, the other by a washer 19 and nut 20.
