[Class 108 (iii).] Laminated vehicle suspension springs are mounted on the vehicle frame so as to permit longitudinal movement of the eye of the spring relatively to the vehicle frame, and are arranged so that they automatically resume their normal positions relatively to the chassis after each displacement. In one form, Fig. 2, one eye a of a vehicle suspension spring b is bored to receive a bush d in which a cylindrical block c is free to turn, the other end of the spring being connected to the vehicle frame by a shackle. The block c is mounted eccentrically on a bolt g which is carried by the dumb iron h. The bush d may be replaced by a rubber sleeve integral with the eye a and the block c, and the block c may be made of rubber. In a modification, Fig. 4, a bolt g passing through the eye a of the spring b is carried in two cylindrical blocks m, n free to turn in the flanges h<1> of the dumb iron h. In a further modification the eye of the spring is carried on a cranked bolt.
