Abstract

342,981. Drying clothes. GIBSON, R., Rhos Street, Ruthin, Denbighshire. May 24, 1930, No. 15985. [Class 34 (ii).] Garments are dried in a chamber through which flows an air current heated by steam pipes 2 in the base and carrying a rotatable table 5 with garment forms or stretchers 10 which are brought each in turn opposite a door in the casing through which each is moved outward for replacing the garment. A central baffle 19 in the chamber deflects air through the garments. Each wire form 10 has a foot 11 recessed and pivoted at 14 between two spring pins 13 on the table, which is perforated and rotated by bevelled wheels and a handle 18. Ratchets or stops cause the table to stop with a form opposite the casing door.
