Abstract

Cable joints.-In order to maintain automatic compensation for changes of oil pressure due to temperature change in an oil-filled cable, resilient chambers are arranged within muffs in the cable round cable joints. In the construction shown, resilient chambers 11 are arranged round a cable joint 7, metal bands 8, wound round the joint 7, being formed with pins 9 to carry several chambers 11 filled with air or gas.
