[Class 36.] An oil reservoir for the oil-filled multicore cable installation described in the parent Specification, in which the spaces between the cable cores are filled entirely with oil and in which non-return valves are provided in the oil inlet pipes, consists of a flexible oil pipe laid parallel with the cable and connected thereto at definite distances by pipe connections. The flexible pipe, which is preferably formed of lead and provided with an interior supporting member such as a wire helix, may be armoured with a closed winding or braiding of flat, circular, or profile wires.
