Laminated springs. - The master leaf of a vehicle spring is replaced by supporting-means, arranged between two adjacent leaves e, e, and comprising an articulated member having a number of parts a so coupled to one another as to allow extensions and contractions of the member lengthwise. The end parts a are connected to the vehicle frame. In one form, a lug b on each part engages a slot in an adjacent part, but the parts may be connected by separate links having an enlargement at each end to engage corresponding slots in contiguous parts. The centre part a may be formed integral with a buckle secured to the axle. The U-clips g may be replaced by top and bottom cross bars connected by side bolts engaging shallow recesses in the edge of the leaves. These bolts may bear on the cross bars by means of spherical washers. Lateral movement of the parts a relatively to the adjacent leaves may be prevented by sliding tongue and groove or similar means.
