Abstract
329,459. Samson, A., and Poulton & Noel, Ltd. April 9, 1929. Soldering filled receptacles.- A number of containers 23 are sealed in vacuo in a chamber 3 by an electricallv-heated or other soldering iron 16 mounted in the top of the chamber and slidable in a universal joint 14 therein that it may be moved by its outside handle to any position in the chamber. A spring 22 is preferably provided to urge the iron upwards. A three-way cock 19 communicates the chamber with a suction pump and gauge . 20. The containers 23 are placed on trays passed in through the hinged front 4 of the chamber. A glazed inspection hole 17 is provided in the top of the chamber which is mounted on a column 2 on a base plate 1.
