328,135. Renyard, F. May 15, 1929. Junction boxes.-A joint for teleplione cables comprises a sleeve B of lead, &c., divided longitudinally and provided with flanges D for connecting the two parts and end flanges E for bolting to flanges F wiped on to the sheathing G of the cables reinforcing strips K, L, M of iron being used to strengthen the flanges. Rubber packing H is employed between the longitudinal flanges and asbestos J between the end flanges the latter being unaffected by the heat in making the wiped joint.
