Abstract

433,917. Pipe joints; stopping pipes. CLARK, E., 25, Byron Road, Ealing, London. Dec. 12, 1934, No. 35740. [Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii)] A pipe joint comprises a sleeve 4 surrounding the abutting pipe ends and a split liner 1 which is pressed on to the pipes by screws 7 in the sleeve. A shouldered spacing member 6 may fit within the recessed pipe ends and the screws may be inclined as shown tending to draw the pipes together. To join pipes of different diameter the sleeve and liner are formed in two parts of different diameter. A cap may be secured on the end of a pipe in a similar manner.
