Thermionic amplifiers.-An amplifier comprises two thermionic valves I, II and a single plate voltage source B having its positive terminal connected directly to the plate of the first valve and through an output impedance Tu to the plate of the second valve. The negative terminal of the source B is connected to the filament of the second valve and through a resistance R, which is preferably variable, to the filament of the first valve.
