Abstract
325,538. Bennett, B. C. Nov. 21, 1928. Screw propellers with blades having a cyclically variable pitch are mounted on radial pins having at their inner ends two arms that engage a fixed annular cam track disposed co-axially with the boss. Blades A1, A2, A3 are mounted on radial pins C adapted to engage the track D arranged co-axially with the shaft G. By reason of the two arms C2 the blade is forced into and out of its effective operative positions. Preferably the blade is of symmetrical streamline form. The cam track may be arranged so that each blade moves into and out of effective position more than once per revolution.
