Abstract
323,751. Horle, J. F., and Motor Services (London), Ltd. Sept. 6, 1928. Vehicles with removable bodies; tank carts.- Relates to rail or road vehicles 1 with guides or rails 2 arranged longitudinadly or transversely for engaging wheels or runners 3 on a transferable body such as a milk tank 4, the guides having hinged extensions 5 at both ends. The ends 5 a.re coupled by a device such as a turnbuckle 7 and tension members 6, so that they may be positioned simultaneously to centralize the load. The tank 4 is lagged and is secured to the vehicle by wires or rods provided with strainers passing through rings 18 on a steel band 19 encircling the tank. The wheels 3 are fitted with brakes 20.
