Abstract
314,749. Davis, R. H., and Davis, R. W. G. Nov. 21, 1928. Respirators. - Self - contained breathing-apparatus of the kind evolving oxygen by the action of the breath on suitable chemicals such as sodium or potassium peroxide, has a multiway valve 6 disposed between the chemical container 3 and the breathing bag 4 so that the container and bag may be placed at any time in communication with each other or with the atmosphere. The face mask 1 may be isolated from the container by a valve 8 in the connecting tube 2. The valve 6 is connected to bag and container by screw couplings 7.
