Fluid-actuated safety valves.-In steam generator safety valves of the type loaded by a spring and a weight in combination, the valve spring 6 is located in a casing 5 and surrounds the valve spindle 2, which extends upwards through the casing and is additionally loaded by dead weights 10 carried on a saddle 9 mounted on the projecting end of the spindle. The loading is preferably equalized between the spring and the weights.
