Delivery, stopping; stop-apparatus, non-automatic.-In spinning-machines a sliding jaw u for gripping the roving and the weighted lever a which carries the pressing roller b of the pair of feed rollers are actuated positively so as to grip the roving and to separate the feed rollers when the roving or thread breaks by means of a threearmed lever g, one arm of which may be connected by a rod k with the lever of the spindle clutch or may be directly operated. In the latter arrangement the jaw is provided with a buffer spring.
