Abstract
309,790. Ruud, O. S. July 4, 1928. Cylinders, varying clearance of.-In a multicylinder engine, each cylinder 1, Fig. 3, is provided with an auxiliary yielding piston 6, Figs. 1 and 8. all the pistons being connected together and loaded by a common spring. The pistons 6 are each connected by a link 9 lo an arm 12 mounted on a shaft 13, two of the arms 12 being provided with an extension 15 on which bears a push rod 16 engaged by a leaf spring 18.
