Guiding-means within cylinder; connecting-rods. -The piston of an internal - combustion. or other engine has a central rod C with four radial arms E, having forked ends carrying rollers G which bear on the cylinder walls. The axles F of the rollers may be acted on by springs H. The rod C is connected to the piston head and skirt by, webs D and is attached at the end C<1> to the connecting-rod.
