Abstract

300,294. Johnson, J. Y., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). July 7, 1927. Motor spirit.-The products obtained by passing oxides of carbon together with hydrogen, steam or hydrocarbons at elevated temperature and ordinary or elevated pressure over catalysts comprising a metal of the 8th periodic group and cadmium or thallium contain liquid hydrocarbons which may be used as motor fuel. In an example the formation of benzines is described.
