Abstract

297,201. Sanders, T. H. Aug. 19, 1927. Lubricants for machinery.-Mineral, fatty, or mixed lubricating oils for internal-combustion engines have incorporated therewith more than 1 per cent by volume of an organic ester of low viscosity whereby "oil-drag" is reduced. In an example 12 c.c. of amyl acetate or butyl lactate are mixed with 100 c.c. of mineral lubricating oil.
