Oil-hole closures.-In a selfclosing oil cup, the upper end cf a spring 3 engages a lug 7 depending from a plate 4 which is pressed into the lid 2 and retained therein bv frictional engagement with the flange 5 which encircles the upper rim of the cup. The plate 4 may be cup-shaped, as shown in Fig. 1, or may be flat, or may be shaped as shown in Fig. 13. The lower end of the spring engages an upturned bridge 8 in the base of the cup.
