Belts. - In linked driving-belts of the kind in which pairs of leather &c. blocks forming the gripping-members are interconnected by metal links, the blocks 10 are secured by screws 12, bolts, or rivets to tubular sockets 8 having ballbearing engagement with the ends of the connecting-links 5. The balls 9 are retained in position by washers 7 secured to the sockets 8, or in a modification, two sets of balls engage races in the edges of the holes in the links and in the washers 7. Projections on the washers may penetrate the blocks 8.
