Channels and reservoirs in vertical-shaft bearings.-In flyer spinning and like frames wherein bobbins 9 are carried on tubes 12 mounted on tubular fixed spindles 11<1>, the spindle 11<1> is either made U-shaped as shown in Fig. 1 or communicates through a chamber 13, Fig. 2, in the lifter rail 3 with another tube 16, so that, the tubes being full of oil, the latter will flow from the top of the tubular spindle into the tube 12 when the rail 3 is titled forwardly. In the form shown in Fig. 2, a single tube 16 will be common to a group of spindles.
